PCB
Piezotronics (PCB®), a global leader in the design
and manufacture of force, torque, load, strain, pressure,
acoustic and vibration sensors, today announced that
Mr. Kim Green, co-owner of Andretti Green Racing (AGR)
and a 26-year veteran of the racing industry, will be
attending Automotive Testing Expo North America as a
special guest of PCB®, and speaking at Gala Dinner
on the evening of Wednesday, October 24th at the Rock
Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan. PCB® is Official
Sensor and Instrumentation sponsor of AGR for the 2007
season.
Mr. Green, along with Michael Andretti and Kevin
Savoree, is co-owner of AGR. During his tenure, the
team has achieved unprecedented success and growth,
and has risen to become the most winning in Indy Racing
League history. This season was among the most notable,
and marked only the third time in IndyCar® Series
history that a single car has won both the IndyCar
Series Championship and Indianapolis 500 in the same
season. AGR has earned three IndyCar Series championships,
the three best single-season win totals in IndyCar
Series history, four victories in the Indy Pro Series
and two wins in the Indianapolis 500. During the 2007
season, Mr. Green served as team strategist for the
#7 Motorola IndyCar, and has served as pit boss and
race strategist for the #11 Team 7-Eleven IndyCar.
He is a native of the United Kingdom, raised in Australia,
and began his career in 1981 with Newman Racing in
the Can-Am Series. After collecting a series of five
wins and six poles during the 1981-2 season, Green
joined Champ Car team Forsythe Racing in 1983.
As Official Sponsor of AGR, PCB® is supplying
sensors and instrumentation, including DC response
accelerometers, torque sensors and load cells, for
AGR’s four IndyCar Series entries. Automotive
Testing Expo North America will be serving as a celebration
of Andretti Green Racing’s winning season and
PCB®’s official launch of its new Automotive
Sensors division. On display will be replicas of the
AGR #27 Canadian Club IndyCar, winner of the 2007
IndyCar Series Championship and Indianapolis 500 races,
and the #11 Team 7-Eleven IndyCar, winner of this
year’s Detroit Indy™ Grand Prix at Belle
Isle.
